The adolescent school girls, field officers and the school coordinators were very happy to receive the project materials in their various schools.
They expressed appreciation through the media to RAHE GHANA for the necessary support offered to women and girls on the Menstrual Hygiene Management Project at the school and community level.

RAHE GHANA JOINS THE WORLD TO CELEBRATE MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY.
The adopted theme for the 2019 celebration -‘It’s Time for Action’ stresses the urgency of menstruation as serious public health issue which call for concrete policies and programs.
The theme also emphasises the transformative agent of improved menstrual hygiene to empower women and girls as well as unlocking their economic and educational opportunities globally.
Thus, the Menstrual Hygiene Day brings together non-profit organisations, government agencies, the private sector, the media, and citizens to advocate for and promote the importance of good menstrual hygiene management (MHM).
In line with this, RAHE GHANA joined one of its project schools, the St. Martha’s Catholic Basic School for a variety of project activities to commemorate the day.
Selected Activities to mark the day include DRAMA, CHOREOGRAPHY,CREATIVE ARTS, POETRY RECITALS, CULTURAL DISPLAY and POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS.
